Ministry of Finance organizes a joint session between the Directorates of Budget and Development Planning targeting planners from other Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.
According to a press update, this session aims to provide guidelines for the development of Programme Based Budget (PBB) Statements for the year 2024-2026 to guide Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDA) on how to identify outcomes for the PBB statements.
“The joint session entails discussions, presentations, and technical sessions with the MDAs and other relevant stakeholders.
Additionally, this activity will also be relevant in helping MDAs develop/update their out-of-date strategic plans. Furthermore, it would also help identify the specific outcomes for the programs at the MDA level. This will further help in the identification of outcome and output indicators for each MDA.
At the end of the day, the session is expected to:
Identified outcomes for MDAs to use in updating their Programmes Based Budgeting (PBB) statements
Finalise format for PBB statements
Update on the status of sector strategic plans, etc. “
