While taking the oath of office at the Banjul City Council premises on Wednesday, The Mayoress of Banjul, Rohey Malick Lowe has vowed to remain focused on his development priorities.
“I want to remind you all that I will not sway in my stride towards Youth, girls, and women empowerment initiative. I implore all of you to put our differences aside and make Banjul a better place. “
“I wish to return gratitude to all the natives of Banjul for coming out to witness yet another swearing-in ceremony which will mark the beginning of my second and final mandate as mayor of our city.”
The Mayoress said she wants to leave a legacy and this can only happen with the support of all stakeholders, be it the opposition, government, and private institutions.
