WFP Country Rep presents Letters of Credence to FM Tangara

The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad, His Excellency Dr. Mamadou Tangara, on August 14, 2023 received in office the new Representative and Country Director of World Food Programme (WFP), Ms. Miranda Sende who presented her Letters of Credence to the Minister.

Receiving the Letters, Foreign Minister Tangara congratulated and welcomed Ms. Miranda Sende to The Gambia assuring the new Rep. and Country Director of the Government’s continuous support. He assured her of his opened-door policy as far as work is concerned.

Ms. Sende thanked FM Tangara for the warm welcome and expressed optimism that she would work to strengthen the already cordial bond between the Government and WFP.

Permanent Secretary I of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,  Ambassador Lang Yabou also reassured Ms. Sende of his fullest support during her tour of duty.

She was accompanied to the Foreign Ministry by Ms. Anta Kah, Partnerships Officer.
