According to the US Embassy,Banjul,Five aspiring football players from across The Gambia are taking part in the ‘Youth STEM & Soccer Camp’ in the United States. Fatou Saine; Momodou Banda; Mustapha Sanneh; Ramou Joof; Sainabou Ceesay and their chaperone, Choro Jobe Mgenga are attending the Boston Leadership Institute STEM camp, hosted at Wellesley College for a course on sport statistics.
The program combines workshops and meetings with community organizations, local and national leaders, schools and universities. Additionally, they will participate in classes on communication, public speaking and team building, and they will attend various cultural and sporting events. Choro Jobe Mbenga is the head coach of the Rev Scorpion team in GFF national league 1st division.
