The Mayor of Banjul City Council, Rohey Malick Lowe launched a youth volunteerism project on Thursday, August 31st, 2023, with the aim of offering young people the chance to improve their vocational skills, foster a spirit of volunteerism, and expand their knowledge beyond The Gambia. The event was held at the Never Again Memorial Arch in Banjul.
The Youth Volunteerism Project is being implemented by REFELA The Gambia in collaboration with the United Nations South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC), Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), Arab Bank for Africa (BADEA), and the UNDP Gambia.
