Speaking to the press following a delivery forum at State House, Ebrima Sillah, the Minister of Transport Works and Infrastructure, said the OIC Bertil Harding Project is at its advanced Stages.
Minister Sillah highlighted that the progress of work from the first phase from the Airport junction to Senegambia is almost at 67% as Contractors have already started mobilizing at the Kairaba Avenue traffic lights where there would be an overpass.
He further expressed that the road constructions are not only limited to the urban areas but the rural areas too, as roads in Kaur CRR North are completed with only route lining to go as inauguration is expected to be between 30th September to 1st October 2023.
The forum delivery between President Adama Barrow and the Minister of Transport Works and Infrastructure was supported by the chief of staff and staff of the department.
Their discussions were centered on the activities implemented within the road infrastructure sector alongside their plans for 2024 and beyond with the mobilization of funds to support activities.
