Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs at the OIC Secretariat, H.E Ambassador Yousef Al-Dobeay, led a delegation on Wednesday, 25th October 2023, to brief President Barrow on the state of preparedness for the hosting of the 15th OIC Summit in The Gambia. Ambassador Al-Dobeay informed President Barrow that the OIC General Secretariat is “ready and willing to cooperate for a successful Summit in The Gambia.”
H.E., President Adama Barrow welcomed the guests and assured them of The Gambia’s readiness and commitment to host the OIC Summit. “The Gambia has committed to hosting the Summit and will demonstrate that a small country can successfully host big events,” He added.
The President thanked the OIC General Secretariat for its cooperation and for recognising and appreciating the vital role of the Secretariat, reminding them of its extraordinary role in uniting the Muslim Ummah.
