The Global Youth Innovation Network (GYIN) Gambia Chapter, in cooperation with the Gambian-German Advisory Centre for Jobs, Training and Reintegration (GGAC), is implementing a 5-day training (11th to 15th December, 2023) on “Agro-Food Processing and Digital Skills for Income Generation’’, targeting Women, Youth and Migrant Returnees.
The training which is held in Mansakonko, Lower River Region (LRR) is aimed at equipping migrant returnees, women and youth with the skills required to set up agri-food businesses, providing them with a decent source of income and addressing changing consumption needs.
The training targets 25 beneficiaries selected from the regions across the country.
The initiative is part of the Global Programme Centres for Migration and Development (ZME), commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment (MOTIE), implements “ZME / GGAC” in The Gambia.
