MOCDE Reflects On It’s Remarkable Achievements in 2023

The ministry of communication and digital communication economics had not only undergone structural changes but had also achieved in advancing digital infrastructure, promotion of policies, fostering a thriving economy and collaboration with the private sector to drive innovation

The minister of communication and digital economic Ousman Bah says he envision The Gambia prominently featured in the global indexes for the ICT and digital economy sector.

He says it’s obligation as a minister to see The Gambia progress and be among the top in each of these indexes.

He says this will strive in positioning The Gambia as a leader in the digital space, adding that this will contribute to the global discourse on digital transformation. He noted that not only about the fancy ranks but also evidently the ICT and digital economy play a pivotal role in Socio+economic transformation and development.

He concluded that people to embrace the fact that technology is the cornerstone of development. The ministry cannot do it alone

The minister of higher education research, science and Technology Pierre Gomez stresst that the nation progress is integrally woven through collaboration effort of various ministries, departments and agencies.

According to Hon Gomez, the ministry of communication and digital media has work hand in glove with the ministries of high education in establishing the university of the technology hub and regional information and innovation hub.

He added that this initiative was a testimonies to the commitments for both ministers to foster innovation and technological Advancement within the nation.
