President Adama Barrow held talks with the delegation of the Africa Regional Intellectual Property Organization (ARIPO) at the State House in Banjul.
The discussions centred on how to ratify some of the protocols that have not yet been ratified and how to use intellectual property to foster innovation and creativity for the prosperity of humanity.
President Barrow reiterated his commitment to protecting ARIPO’s IP initiatives because of their shared vision, which aligns with the national strategy of The Gambia, focusing on youth empowerment.
Speaking to the press, the Director General of ARIPO underscores the need to help the creative youth use their talents to create jobs wealth and transform people’s lives.
The ARIPO delegation was accompanied by the Minister for Justice, Honorable Dawda Jallow.
