The Tourism Security Unit (TSU) of the Gambia Police Force, as part of proactive routine patrols, successfully arrested a foreign national in possession of two blocks of suspected cocaine on Friday 10th July 2024.
This arrest is a result of the TSU’s heightened vigilance and commitment to curbing crime/drug-related activities in key tourist areas.
Preliminary tests have confirmed the substances as cocaine; further establishing the charges against the suspect.
The case has been handed over to the Drug Law Enforcement Agency [DLEAG] for further investigation.
