The management of the Gambia Ferry Services is aware of a posting on social media of a child sitting on top of the captain’s chair in the ferry.
The management wants to clarify that the child is the son of one of the captains who visited the father when the ferry was at the lander and sat on the seat. The child disembarked before the ferry went back to service. Also,the father does not even drink “Attaya”.
That notwithstanding, the father has been queried that the captain’s bridge is marked “No Unauthorized Entry” and should not have allowed the child to beonn the bridge.
The general public is hereby reassured that under no circumstance was the child on the captain’s bridge during sailing.
The management regrets this occurrence.
