The Vice President H.E Mohammed B.S. Jallow of The Gambia delivered a powerful address at the Valedictory Session of the 19th CII India Africa Business Conclave 2024 in New Delhi. He expressed The Gambia’s commitment to being part of this significant event, commending the remarkable discussions and collaborations that unfolded over the past few days.
VP Jallow highlighted that the partnerships formed during the conclave will drive progress and prosperity for all parties. “The goal is to create robust development plans that will benefit sectors including renewable energy, agriculture, mining, space technology, transportation, logistics, and healthcare, among others. The Gambia is open to doing business with India and through collaborative efforts, we can drive growth across every sector,” he stated.
Finally, he called on participants to carry forward the spirit of collaboration and determination to effect positive change within their communities and beyond. VP Jallow also extended his gratitude to the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for hosting the insightful event and encouraged them to continue their efforts towards a brighter future.
Other prominent speakers included Vice Presidents from Mauritius, Liberia, and Burundi, along with senior officials from the Government of India and industry leaders. The session, moderated by CII Director General Chandrajit Banerjee, also witnessed the exchange of a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between CII and the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC), marking a milestone in strengthening trade and investment ties, particularly in Africa.
