IGP TOURAY DELIVERS KEYNOTE ADDRESS AT SECURITY
Inspector General of Police Seedy Mukhtar Touray delivered a compelling keynote address titled “Policing a Democratic Society in Complex Times: The Gambian Experience” at the 18th Security Watch Africa Awards and Conference in Doha, Qatar, on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.
The event, held at the Radisson Blu Hotel, was attended by prominent dignitaries, including H.E. Foday Malang, The Gambia’s Ambassador to Qatar, and the Counsellor, Mr. Musa Bah.
In his speech, IGP Touray highlighted The Gambia’s innovative strategies for tackling modern policing challenges. He emphasized the use of technology, community policing initiatives, and international collaboration to combat transnational crime. The keynote reaffirmed The Gambia’s dedication to protecting democracy while promoting trust and accountability within the community.
