
His Excellency Muhammed B. S. Jallow, Vice President of the Republic of The Gambia, today led a high-level delegation to Accra, Ghana, to attend the official launch of the ECOWAS at 50 celebrations.
Upon arrival, Vice President Jallow was warmly received by Ghanaโs Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, as part of the welcoming ceremony for dignitaries participating in this historic event.
The golden jubilee marks five decades of regional cooperation, economic integration, and political dialogue among West African nations. The celebration is drawing heads of state, diplomats, and key stakeholders from across the subregion, all united in their support for ECOWASโs continued vision of unity and progress.
Key discussions during the event are expected to focus on strengthening democratic governance, boosting intra-regional trade, and promoting peace and security across West Africa.
