
The National Assembly of the Gambia is participating in the 11th African Federation of Institutes of Internal Auditors (AFIIA) Conference in Kigali, Rwanda, under the theme Bridging Bridges, Inspiring Change.
The weeklong annual Conference brings together stakeholders across the continent, including Board Members, Chief Executive Officers, Senior Management, Accountants, and Internal Auditors.
The conference serves as a platform for sharing new developments, innovations, and insights on the critical roles of leadership and internal audit in promoting good governance, transparency, and accountability in Africa.
The National Assembly is represented at the conference by Hon. Alhagie Mbow, Member of the Authority; Mr. Buba M.E. Jatta, Deputy Clerk for Administration and Finance; Mrs. Sally Secka Jammeh, Director of Finance; and Mrs. Fatou Darboe, Principal Internal Auditor.
This Conference is in line with the National Assembly’s commitment to strengthen institutional governance frameworks, enhance financial oversight, and promote internal audit practices that align with international standards.
