
As part of the annual tradition following the Eid celebrations, regional governors paid a courtesy call to H.E. the President of the Republic of The Gambia. This high-level engagement reflects the ongoing commitment to collaborative governance and regional development.
The session was opened by Governor Saidykhan of the North Bank Region (NBR), who reaffirmed the governors’ collective dedication to delivering on their mandates and serving the citizens effectively.

On the other hand, the Executive Coordinator (EC) of Banjul, Hon. Jawo, extended appreciation to the President for the trust and confidence placed in regional leaders. Hon. Jawo noted marked improvements in the ferry service, which has significantly enhanced transportation and access. However, he also acknowledged ongoing challenges, particularly in meeting the growing social support needs and the expectations of the population.
EC for Kanifing Municipality (KM), Hon. Singateh, echoed the sentiments shared by previous speakers. He emphasized the importance of unity among the governors and reaffirmed support for national development priorities.
