
On 4 July 2025, two Gambian soldiers, Privates Samba Jobe and Jordan J. Gomez, have graduated with honors from Senegal’s elite School of Non-Commissioned Officers (ENSOA) after completing an intensive two-year program. Recognized for their excellence in combat, leadership, and specialized skills, including earning commando and parachutist badges, they received high praise from both Senegalese and Gambian military leaders.
In his address, the Senegal’s Defense Minister commended their professionalism, highlighting how their success strengthens bilateral military ties and regional security.
The Gambia Armed Forces celebrated the soldiers’ achievements, emphasizing how their advanced training in tactical operations, explosive disposal, and military instruction will enhance national defense capabilities. Their adaptability in both combat and training roles demonstrates their readiness to address complex security challenges. This accomplishment echoes the Chief of Defense Staff’s policy of capacity building for all ranks.
The graduates’ success reinforces the longstanding military partnership between The Gambia and Senegal, promoting shared security goals in the region. Their expertise is expected to significantly contribute to both national and regional defense efforts, further solidifying cooperation and professionalism across borders.
