
Inspector General of Police Seedy M. Touray has commenced a week-long official working visit to the Republic of Türkiye, from July 6–14, 2025, under the framework of security cooperation between the two countries.
The IGP is accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising Assistant IGP for Operations General Pateh Jallow, Commissioner of Administration CP Mustapha Ndong, and Commissioner of International Affairs CP Famara Jobarteh.
The delegation departed Banjul on July 6 and arrived in Ankara in the early hours of Monday, July 7. Later that afternoon, they paid a courtesy call on the Gambian Embassy.
Welcoming the delegation, H.E. Ambassador Alkali Conteh expressed gratitude, noting it was the first time he had received a police delegation since assuming his post in Ankara nearly three years ago.
IGP Touray thanked the Ambassador and his staff for the warm reception and presented a souvenir as a token of appreciation on behalf of the team.
The IGP and delegation are scheduled to commence official engagements with Turkish authorities tomorrow.
