During their stay, the delegation held strategic discussions with Norwegian officials including Gunnar Stølsvik of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries, and UNDP representatives Stian Olderkjær, Ann-Cathrin Pedersen, Mariana Neves, and Emilie Andresen.
Key outcomes included joint efforts to strengthen satellite-based monitoring of illegal fishing, support for sustainable marine industries, and enhanced engagement with the Gambian diaspora.
A consultative meeting held at Deichman Bjørvika offered an open platform for dialogue between the delegation and the Gambian community and friends of the Gambia in Norway.
The mission concluded with a debrief session and a warm diaspora dinner hosted by Gambia House, celebrating shared identity, national progress, and renewed international cooperation.
Delegates will return to their respective countries between 10 and 11 July 2025, carrying forward actionable insights and commitments from the Oslo engagements.
