
In a row of significant diplomatic engagements, The Hon. Minister, Dr. Habibatou Drame has received and held seperate discussions with key international partners to discuss and strengthen areas of collaboration within the Basic and Secondary Education Sector.
Yesterday, Minister Drame received Ambassador Imma ROCA i CORTรS, European Union Ambassador to The Gambia, prompting discussions focused on ongoing and potential partnership aimed at enhancing Secondary Education across the Country.
The EU Ambassador was accompanied by Enrica PELLCANI, Head of Cooperation.
Today, the Hon. Minister continued her diplomatic engagement by hosting Ms. Ndeye Rose Sarr, the UNFPA Country Representative.
There discussions were anchored on strengthening menstrual and reproductive health issues and the provision of Reusable Sanitary Pads especially in rural areas to promote health and hygiene among school-going adolescent girls.
The UNFPA Country Representative was accompanied by Jainaba Njie, Program Analyst for Adolescents and Youth, UNFPA.
Reaffirming MoBSE’s commitment in solidifying the fruitful engagements, both the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Louis Moses Mendy and the Hon. Minister thanked the various delegations for their interest in supporting the advancement of the Basic and Secondary Education Sector.
