
The Executive Coordinator of Banjul honourable Ebrima Jawo noted that social registry is important in enhancing access to accurate data to support residents of Banjul, especially during emergencies and development planning.
Hon.Jawo made the statement while delivering his welcoming remark at a day long stakeholder workshop at McCarthy Square in Banjul on July 22,2025.
He called on the people of Banjul to actively support the Social Registry’s efforts , noting that their cooperation will ensure the system functions effectively in identifying and supporting vulnerable population during times of crisis.
The event brought together key institutions and community representatives, including the Banjul City Council (BBC) ,National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA),Gambia Red Cross Society (GRCS),Ministry of Health (MOH),Ministry of Basic and Secondary (MOBSE),the Office of the Executive as well as women and youth groups from across Banjul.
