The Ministry of Trade, in collaboration with partners, hosted regional sensitization workshops on the National Fintech Strategy for Women Cross-Border Traders in North Bank (July 23) and Lower River Region (July 24).
The workshops introduced the strategyโs vision to promote digital financial inclusion, especially for women operating in the informal economy. Regional Governors, technical experts, and participants discussed practical tools from mobile money to legal trade rights aimed at improving access to finance, safe digital practices, and economic empowerment.
Strong collaboration between public and private sectors was emphasized, with support from the EU, ICR, and Wave Gambia.
Together, we are building a more inclusive, digitally connected trade future leaving no woman behind.
