A high-level delegation from the National Roads Authority (NRA) and the Ministry of Transport, Works, and Infrastructure (MOTWI) conducted a joint inspection tour of the ongoing Nuimi Hakalang Loop Roads Project on Saturday, 30th August 2025.
The visit was led by the NRA’s Technical Director, accompanied by Awa Jagne, Director of Technical Services at MOTWI.
The team assessed the progress of the 84.5-kilometre road network currently under construction in the North Bank Region.
The project, which is divided into three sections, stretches from Bunaidu to Kuntair via Chilla Jurunko, with additional connecting roads from Albreda to Fass Omar Saho and from Bangally to Bafuloto.
Construction is being carried out by CSE, with consultancy services provided by Pace and GAMECS.
Significant progress has been made, with asphalt works completed on Section 1 (Bunaidu to Kuntaya) and surface dressing finalised on Section 3 (Bangally to Bafuloto).
According to the technical team, road furniture installation is nearly complete across all sections, with only one kilometre of posts remaining.
Current activities include the construction of side drainage systems and the installation of kerbs.
The overall project is reported to be 98% complete.
