The renowned Sierra Leonean music groups SL Crystal and Ehyor on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Coordinator of Banjul, Hon. Ebrima Jawo, to brief him on their upcoming musical entertainment event.
The event is scheduled to take place on 12th October 2025 at Dunas Hotel Palma Rima, with tickets set at D25,000 for Silver Table. The highlight of the evening will be a performance by one of West Africa’s most celebrated artists, Alhaji Amadou Bah (LAJ), recognized as a peace ambassador and cultural influencer.
Speaking during the visit, the artists underscored that the initiative goes beyond entertainment. It is intended to foster unity, celebrate Africa’s cultural heritage, and support the Sierra Leonean community in The Gambia, particularly those aspiring to return to their homeland.
In his remarks, Hon. Ebrima Jawo welcomed the initiative, noting the deep cultural ties between The Gambia and Sierra Leone. He emphasized that such programs not only provide entertainment but also strengthen cultural heritage, unity, and mutual support between the two nations.
He further highlighted the humanitarian aspect of the initiative, stressing that the ultimate aim is to assist Sierra Leoneans in need who wish to return home.
