The meeting provided a platform to reflect on the partnership between TUMA and the Gambia Immigration Department (GID) in the successful implementation of a three-week nationwide Regional Tour. The initiative comprised school-based trainings and community engagements focused on immigration and migration-related issues, leadership development, effective communication, career guidance, among others.
TUMA extended its appreciation to the GID for the support and collaboration that contributed to the direct impact on more than 1,000 Gambians across the countryโincluding students, local authorities, and community members. The intervention also resulted in the planting of over 5,000 mangroves and fruit trees across all regions.
DG Mboob reaffirmed his leadershipโs commitment to strengthening community engagement, youth empowerment, and national service. He shared words of inspiration with the delegation and underscored the importance of such collaborative initiatives in building public trust through sustained civic awareness programs.
