The Essau Police Station in the North Bank Region (NBR) has today arraigned eight (8) suspects arrested in Jinack Kajata in connection with alleged involvement in irregular migration and human traffickingβrelated activities.
The accused persons were arraigned before the Essau Magistratesβ Court, presided over by His Worship Magistrate Ebou Sowe, on charges of human trafficking. All eight pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Contingent on the ongoing investigations, the prosecution prayed for the remand of the accused persons. The Magistrate granted the request and ordered that the accused be remanded in custody, adjourning the case to January 21, 2026.
