The Sports Journalists’ Association of The Gambia (SJAG) wishes to congratulate veteran sports journalist and Lifetime President, Mr. Pape Saine, on his outstanding contribution and achievements following his recent honour by AIPS Africa for his immense contributions to the development of football on the continent.
Mr. Saine was nominated for this prestigious award by the President of SJAG, Mr. Omar Jarju, in recognition of his dedication, professionalism, and distinction in the field of sports journalism over the years.
Expressing his gratitude after receiving the award, Mr. Saine extended his appreciation to the leadership of AIPS Africa and the Gambian media fraternity.
“I thank you all so much. My special thanks go to the General Secretary of AIPS/Africa, Musa Sisay, for his support, as well as to the media fraternity—especially the Sports Journalists’ Association of The Gambia—for endorsing my nomination,” he said.
SJAG commends Mr. Saine for this well-deserved recognition, which not only celebrates his personal achievements but also highlights the vital role Gambian sports journalists continue to play in the development and promotion of sports at both continental and global levels.
