Adnan Aziz: The Rising Beninese Forward Forged Between Europe, Africa, and the Ambition for Top-Level Football
BlockTV Gambia – Journalist: Adnan Aziz, thank you for joining us. To begin, how would you describe your journey so far?
Adnan Aziz: Thank you for having me. My journey has been built on hard work, sacrifice, and patience. I grew up between Europe and Africa with one clear dream: becoming a professional footballer and representing my country, Benin, at the highest level. Every challenge I faced made me stronger and shaped my mentality as a competitor.
BlockTV Gambia: You played for the Benin U23 National Team. What impact did that experience have on your development?
Adnan Aziz: Representing my country at the U23 level was a huge honor. It taught me discipline, responsibility, and the intensity of international football. That experience confirmed to me that I have the level and the ambition to reach the senior national team in the near future.
BlockTV Gambia: Many describe you as a versatile forward with the ability to adapt to several systems. How would you define your playing style?
Adnan Aziz: I see myself as a modern forward: fast, mobile, and technically strong. I love attacking spaces, taking on defenders, and being decisive. I’m also a collective player—I press, I create, and I adapt. My goal is simple: be efficient and help my team win.
BlockTV Gambia: Some people say you are “a rising talent who progresses in silence.” Do you agree with that?
Adnan Aziz: Absolutely. I believe in work before words. I prefer staying focused and letting my performance speak. In football, consistency matters more than noise. My mentality is calm, disciplined, and dedicated.
BlockTV Gambia: You’re building your career between Europe and Africa. How does that shape your ambition?
Adnan Aziz: Europe taught me intensity, structure, and tactical discipline.
Africa gave me passion, mental strength, and creativity.
Having both influences is a real advantage. My ambition is clear: reach a high-level league, continue growing, and proudly represent Benin on the international stage.
BlockTV Gambia: What are your goals for 2026?
Adnan Aziz:
• Join an ambitious club project where I can express my full potential.
• Keep improving physically, technically, and mentally.
• Earn a place in Benin’s senior national team.
• Move closer to major competitions like the Africa Cup of Nations.
BlockTV Gambia: You are young, followed by several African and international media, and considered a promising talent. What motivates you every day?
Adnan Aziz: My family, my country, and my love for football. I also want to inspire young players in Benin and across Africa—showing them that with discipline and determination, you can rise from anywhere and chase big dreams.
