Banjul, The Gambia The Executive Coordinator of Banjul, Hon. Ebrima Jawo, today attended the Gambia Climate-Resilient Joint Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Sector Review, held at the Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Centre (OIC).
The high-level review brought together key government officials, development partners, technical experts, and stakeholders from across the WASH sector to assess progress, share experiences, and strengthen coordination toward building climate-resilient water and sanitation systems in The Gambia.
Hon. Ebrima Jawo’s participation underscores the commitment of the Banjul City administration to advancing sustainable, inclusive, and climate-resilient WASH services, particularly in urban and coastal communities that are increasingly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change.
The Joint Sector Review serves as an important national platform for evaluating policy implementation, aligning sector priorities, and reinforcing collaborative efforts to improve access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene while enhancing resilience to climate-related risks.
