The Criminal Investigation Department of SeneGambia Police Station is investigating an alleged theft involving a cash sum of about One Million Dalasis (D1,000,000).
Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect, Ebrima Buckle Kargbo, a resident of Manjai and a driver by profession, was accompanying the complainant on official duties to collect payments from various establishments. During the exercise, a total sum of approximately One Million Dalasis was reportedly collected and kept in the custody of the complainant.

He was subsequently escorted to SeneGambia Police Station for further investigation.
The suspect, during interrogation, admitted committing the offence. The Investigators recovered USD 3,500 and D262,150.00 from persons entrusted to keep the money.
All persons linked to the matter are currently in Police custody, assisting with investigations as efforts continue to recover the remaining funds and conclude enquiries.
