Pape Cheikh Diallo and others: list of 12 suspects arrested in alleged same-sex and HIV transmission case
Senegalese news outlet Seneweb has published the identities of 12 men arrested by the Research Brigade of the Keur Massar Gendarmerie Company in connection with an investigation into an alleged same-sex network.
The suspects were detained on 4, 5 and 6 February 2026 on allegations of criminal conspiracy, offences described under Senegalese law as “unnatural acts,” the deliberate transmission of HIV/AIDS through unprotected sexual relations, and endangering the lives of others.
Same-sex relations remain criminalised in Senegal under the Penal Code, where they are classified as “unnatural acts.”
According to Seneweb, the individuals arrested are:

I. Camara, 37, shopkeeper
A. Diallo, 40, tailor
M.B. Baldé, 28, administrative assistant at a university
M. Gning, 25, student
S. Ba, 22, shopkeeper
B. Ka, 20, student
B. Faye, 30, shopkeeper
B. Ndiaye, 29, hospital porter
Djiby Dramé, 43, singer
D.L. Dieng, 38, bank employee
Cheikh Ahmadou Tidiane Diallo, 43, television presenter, also known as Pape Cheikh Diallo
All 12 suspects are currently in custody as investigations continue under the supervision of Prosecutor Saliou Dicko, head of the Pikine–Guédiawaye prosecutor’s office.
Authorities say the inquiry is aimed at dismantling the entire alleged network and establishing individual responsibilities.
