The North Bank Region Border Patrol Unit of GID, acting on credible intelligence, apprehended twenty-two (22) suspected would-be migrants at Sami, today, 26th February 2026, at around 4:30am.
The operation, which took place in an unfinished building in Sami, involved 18 Guinean nationals, including two females and one minor, as well as 2 Ivorians and 2 Malians. All individuals are under detention at the Barra Immigration Station, awaiting transfer to Tanji for further investigation and processing.
