His Excellency Mohammed B. S. Jallow the Vice President of the Republic of The Gambia on Wednesday, 8 April presided over the first quarter sector meeting of the Office of the Vice President at the Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Centre—bringing together key institutions to reflect, strategize, and move forward together.
Hosted by the National Disaster Management Agency, the meeting served as a vital platform to review achievements, tackle challenges, and strengthen collaboration across sectors.
In his remarks, the Vice President highlighted the importance of unity, especially durbing the sacred seasons of Ramadan and Lent, describing The Gambia as a “blessed nation” that must continue to work together for peace and prosperity.
He also commended institutions for major milestones achieved in 2025—particularly the transition to stronger legal frameworks backed by Acts of Parliament—and emphasized the need for clear policies to guide sustainable development.
“Coming together helps us learn, collaborate, and ensure our efforts complement each other for national progress,” he noted.
A true “family gathering,” the forum continues to foster teamwork, innovation, and shared purpose across all sectors under the OVP.
