The Gambia Immigration Department (GID) has intercepted 24 would be migrants during an operation in Brusubi.
The operation, carried out on April 11, 2026, by the Department’s Border Patrol Unit based at the Tanji Migration Management Unit, led to the arrest of a group consisting of four Gambians, 16 Senegalese, three Guineans, and one Ivorian.
The arrests reflect continued enforcement actions by security agencies aimed at addressing irregular migration activities in the country.
