Police on Monday, June 1, 2026, arrested six suspects during an intelligence-led operation conducted at Dalaba Estate in Old Yundum.
The operation followed information received by the Lower West Coast Joint Security Taskforce regarding suspected fraudulent activities at a residence within the estate. Acting on the information, officers proceeded to the location and joined personnel of the Banjulinding Taskforce already on the ground.
A search of the premises led to the arrest of six Nigerian nationals, aged between 19 and 26 years. Officers also recovered six laptops, ten smartphones, one basic mobile phone, one printer, and four Nigerian passports.
The suspects have been handed over to Old Yundum Police Station and are currently assisting police with investigations.
