CTMC has officially opened the nomination process for the coalition’s flagbearer in the upcoming 2026 Presidential Election. The 7th Strategic Session, held at Baobab Hotel in Banjul, was successful in reviewing the 25-point Common Agenda and establishing a coalition framework. It was also agreed upon that nominees must possess key qualities such as competence, integrity, and national acceptance.
Chairman Professor Yerro Mballow stressed the importance of unity among opposition parties, while host Fatoumata Jallow Tambajang emphasized prioritizing national interests through her “Gambia First” vision. Nominations from parties and movements will be thoroughly examined by the CTMC Secretariat through a consensus process.
The 8th Strategic Session, to be hosted by Hon. Ambassador Essa Bokar Sey, will take place on June 13, 2026, at Metzy Residence in Senegambia.
