The Criminal suit instituted by Abdoulaye Thiam against Aisha Fatty has been adjourned to Friday, 24th May 2024.
Abdoulaye Thiam has accused Aisha of attempting to blackmail him by threatening to expose a nude video to the security officer in Senegal. When Aisha arrived in Senegal, she was arrested and detained, leading to a court case being initiated.
The case is scheduled for mention today; when the case was called for hearing to commence, Thiam’s lawyer requested an adjournment, citing his client’s inability to attend court, and applied for an adjournment.
Aisha Fatty’s lawyer sought for her client to be released on bail, informing the judge of her continued detention since the arrest.
Upon hearing the deliberation of both lawyers, the presiding judge granted the adjournment request. However, the judge denied the application for Aisha Fatty to be released on bail.
