The communities in Kiang are mourning the tragic loss of two young men, Karamo Touray and Ebrima Ceesay, died in a workplace accident involving high-tension cables.
Karamo Touray, from Jattaba village, and Ebrima Ceesay, from Sankandi village, were both employed by KEI Construction Company and were among the seven workers who lost their lives in the incident near Essau, Sami, and Mendy Kunda on Wednesday 9th October 2024. Their deaths have left families and friends devastated.
Karamo Touray was a graduate of Nioro Jattaba-Sankandi Senior Secondary School. His untimely passing, along with that of Ebrima Ceesay, serves as a stark reminder of the dangers faced by workers in the construction industry.
