Staff of the National Assembly Service have concluded a five-day benchmarking visit to the Parliament of the Republic of Ghana, held from 1st to 5th June 2026. The visit was part of ongoing institutional reforms and digitisation efforts aimed at strengthening the Assembly’s legislative, oversight, and representative functions.
The delegation was led by the Director of the Hansard Department, Mrs. Isatou Kassama, and included representatives from key departments including Hansard, Human Resources and Administration, Table Office, Legal Services, Utility Department, ICT Unit, and the Library and Research Department.
During the visit, the delegation engaged with the Deputy Clerk responsible for Legislative Management Services. Discussions centered on parliamentary procedures, administrative systems, and institutional frameworks that support effective legislative work.
Over the five days, the delegation met with relevant departments gaining valuable exposure to Ghana’s operational systems and technological infrastructure. These engagements provided practical insights and best practices across various parliamentary functions.
The benchmarking visit has significantly enhanced the delegation’s understanding of modern parliamentary operations and will directly inform National Assembly’s ongoing digitisation agenda, in line with its Strategic Development Plan (2025–2029).
