NAFAA Presents “The Women’s Unite Festival – The Gambia” Saturday, 17th September 2022

First of its kind, “The Women’s Unite Festival – The Gambia” is a project of Music In Africa Live, a joint initiative of the German Federal Foreign Office, Siemens Stiftung, and Goethe-Institut. Eight female musicians will share the stage. The Afromanding Queen Sambou Susso, Cess Ngum, Lena B, the melodious Afro-mbalax Diva, Mariama Cham, a young guitarist/singer, a winner of the SEN PETIT Galleh competition, Awa Gambia – another buzzing young female singer, Awa Bling – the Rapper gender activist, Sophia Bass, a dancehall diva and Miss Jobizz, a highly talented young Afro-fusion singer.
This is a fantastic opportunity to unleash our talents and skills musically during these times, says Sambou Susso, one of the performing artists. Having been impacted by COVID-19, this is a way to get the music industry back on track”.
The event will be held at Jama Hall on Saturday, 17th September 2022.
It will be a historic and beneficial event for the artists and musicians of NAFAA, added Kalilu Banja, the Program Director of The National Female Artistes’ Association (NAFAA).
