The Gambia Police Force with support from the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Reforms recently conducted a sensitization forum for the community of Janjanbureh, Central River Region.
The opening ceremony of the event in JanjangBureh was presided over by the Deputy Regional Governor, Sainey Mbaye, who emphasized the importance of the community sensitization workshop. CSP Foday Fofana of DCAF highlighted DCAF’s support for The GPF’s Security Sector Reform (SSR) processes. The objective of the program was to inform citizens about The GPF Doctrine and the ongoing SSR in the country.
Participants included district Seyfos, Alkalos, Ward Counselors, Opinion leaders, women, and youth leaders, among others.
Participants pledge their support for the SSR process and The Gambia Police Force Doctrine. The team will now move on to the Upper River Region for day three.
