The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education is thrilled to announce that the Bottrop Technical Senior Secondary School Female team has left the country this morning for Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco to represent The Gambia at the prestigious World School Championship Football 2023. The delegation comprises 16 players, 2 coaches, the head of the delegation, the assistant head of the delegation, and a communications specialist.
This esteemed international sporting event, organized by the World School Sports Federation, brings together talented student-athletes between the ages of 13-18 from across the globe to compete in the spirit of friendship, sportsmanship, and mutual respect. ISF World Schools Championships (WSC) are events characterized by a balanced program between sport and educational content: the balance between sport and education is to create awareness about the role of sport in putting forward topics such as fair play, and healthy lifestyle, respect, inclusion.
The events will start from the 22nd – 31st of July 2023 and the Bottrop girls will battle it out with Germany, China, Niger, and TPE (Chinese Taipei” (IOC and FIFA code: TPE) in Group A.”
