Musa Barrow, a Gambian forward, has signed a three-year contract with Al Taawoun from Bologna, a team in Serie A. He is the third Gambian player to join the growing Saudi Pro League this summer, following Assan Ceesay and Muhammed Badamosi, who had previously signed with teams in the Middle East country earlier in the transfer window.
Musa started his career as a youth team player for Atalanta, having been signed by Hawks in the Gambian league. He impressed at the youth level before making his professional debut and moving to Bologna. Following the completion of the deal, Barrow is expected to travel to Morocco to join his Scorpions teammates in preparation for the important TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Congo. Tom Saintfiet’s team only needs a point to secure their second straight AFCON berth.
