Jay-Z has filed a lawsuit in Alabama against a woman and her lawyer #TonyBuzbee, who the rapper claims conspired to falsely accuse him of sexual assault and allegedly caused him to lose at least $20 million. @pagesix reports Jayz claims the defendants, including lawyer David Fortney, “were soullessly motivated by greed, in abject disregard of the truth and the most fundamental precepts of human decency.
The rap mogul, who is also suing for malicious prosecution, abuse of process, civil conspiracy, and defamation, alleges in the court documents that the accuser, Jane Doe, has “voluntarily admitted” that Buzbee “pushed her towards going forward with the false story against Mr. Carter” after an “extortionate demand letter failed to yield the financial windfall.”
According to the court filing, Doe allegedly admitted that Buzbee “brought Jay-Z into it.” If you recall, Doe, who claimed she was sexually assaulted at the age of 13, has publicly admitted to “inconsistencies” in her NBC News lawsuit, which includes the fact that she met #BenjiMadden at the alleged afterparty. A spokesperson for the #GoodCharlotte rocker said that he and his twin brother, #JoelMadden, were on tour halfway across the country at the time of the alleged incident.
