The Mobile Traffic Unit on Monday, March 24, commenced operations aimed at impounding vehicles that do not meet the requirements of the Motor Traffic Regulations plying on public highways.
The operation is currently underway at the βIce-Manβ in Kanifing and at the Denton Bridge. Drivers found to have violated the regulations will be prosecuted accordingly.
Numerous vehicles have already been impounded for various violations, including failure to display number plates, improper number plates (printed laminated papers), and tinted windows of vehicles without clearance.
The public, particularly drivers, are strongly urged to adhere to the motor traffic regulations, underscoring the importance of compliance
with traffic laws for the safety of all road users.
