The President of the Republic of The Gambia, His Excellency Adama Barrow, has inaugurated “The Diplomat” Twin Towers today, in Kanifing. The project aligns with the Governmentโs ‘YIRIWA’ National Development Plan (2023-2027), which prioritises infrastructure development, urban transformation, private sector-led growth, job creation, and economic diversification.
In his remarks, President Barrow highlighted his administrationโs strategic focus on investing in infrastructure to drive economic transformation. He added that a conducive environment has been created for investors, while partnering with Gambians to generate employment, remains central to the strategic focus.
“The Diplomat” Twin Towers project is expected to boost private sector growth and employment. President Barrow urged the business community to take full advantage of the opportunities available, saying, โThe environment is improving, the prospects are strong, and the future is promising.โ
Notably, the project was initiated by Swami International and Ms. Fatim Badjie, a young Gambian entrepreneur, making it a testament to the potential of Gambian youth and women in driving economic growth. The inauguration in March, Women’s History Month, highlights the contributions of women in shaping Gambia’s development.
