Today, we bid farewell to our player Ebrima Fofana as he departed from Banjul International Airport to begin a new chapter with FC Inter Turku in Finland.
The move marks a permanent transfer from TMT FC to the Veikkausliiga side, giving Ebrima the opportunity to showcase his talent on a European stage. It was an emotional moment at the airport as teammates, staff, and friends from the Goal Project gathered to wish him well on his journey to Turku.
TMT President Omar H.O Saidykhan and members of the board were present to send off Ebrima personally. Speaking at the airport, President Saidykhan commended Ebrima’s discipline, work ethic, and growth during his time at TMT FC. He described the transfer as “proof that hard work and the right environment create opportunities,” and reaffirmed the club’s commitment to developing players capable of competing at the highest levels internationally.
We are proud of Ebrima and confident he will make a strong impact with FC Inter Turku in the Finnish First Division. His departure is a proud milestone for TMT FC and a source of inspiration for every young player coming through the Project. As one of our staff said during the farewell: “From TMT to Finland, the journey continues.”
We wish Ebrima every success in this next step of his career.
We are TMT and this Means More.
TMT.
