The Government of The Gambia, through the Ministry of Interior, has received fire service equipment from the Kingdom of Spain facilitated by the Spanish start-up partner.
The donation package features a state-of-the-art fire truck designed for high reach rescue operations, a 67-seater bus to improve the deployment of personnel and support teams, integrated generators to power equipment in the field, welding machines and other critical tools.
Receiving the equipment, President Barrow conveyed his gratitude to the Government of Spain and the partner start-up for their support, noting that the equipment will strengthen operational capacity of fire and rescue services nationwide.
This gesture reflects growing bilateral cooperation between The Gambia and Spain in public safety.
