” In It is with deep regret that we inform our fans and the media about a shocking incident that occurred during Awa Gambia’s recent performance last night Friday on the 21st of July 2023 at Kafuta in Kombo East, while she was passionately performing on stage, an unfortunate and disturbing unforgiving incident took place. A member of the audience threw a stone at Awa Gambia’s head, causing significant injury, and required immediate medical attention and was promptly rushed to the nearest medical facility at Brikama Hospital for emergency treatment”
Her manager expressed sincere gratitude to the venue’s staff, security personnel, and medical responders for their swift actions in this distressing situation.
Awa Gambia he added is currently receiving medical care available and that the injury is being evaluated, and further updates on her recovery will be provided as soon as they are available.
